about

There is something about humans that makes us want to feel that there is someone, or something, that watches out for us.

We already have an omnipotent God, but He feels so far away that we want watchers who feel closer and easier to understand. Odd thing is we don't even need those agents to be human or of this world. We are as happy with aliens or other freaks of nature as we are with the usual safe options like Angels. Actually, if we met them, I'm not sure that Angels would be any different from broken characters like Judge Dredd. I think maybe the Buddhists had it right with their idea about Bodhisattvas being anyone or anything that helps life. Matter of fact, that lets you or me step in and out of that role as we help those around us, in even the smallest of ways.

This album presents just a small few of the watchers and protectors of human legend, and desire. Some you may expect, some you may not.

N.B. if burning to CD make sure you use "Disc At Once" to preserve the track overlaps. Also on mp3 player make sure "gapless" is chosen.

about

Benedict Roff-Marsh Brisbane, Australia

I bought my first keyboard in 1988 and set about learning how it worked as I had always loved music. I was working as a sound engineer in a studio and figured that knowing how to program the synths would be a good skill. I ended up making my own music as well as the sounds.

After around 25 years and around three times that many albums this is the music that I make. It is my style.
