about

This album had a few false starts. After "Versions" I had a lot of pieces but they just weren't very good. I even had the concept of Snow Globes; small scenes contained in glass domes but the tracks weren't working till I wrote "Industrial Town". Then it all started to come together. I threw everything else away and these tracks were free to come out. "Measured Spaces" re-appeared from a some old outtakes and I knew this was the right piece and the right title.

You may notice that this album is louder than anything I have done before. This was deliberate as I have found a bit of a thing online with artists who, like me, are influenced by Jarre, Vangelis and Kraftwerk, making records that have a retro vibe but are mixed and mastered as though they were current dance music. The big sound interested me as something to try as I have my similarities to this scene. First listen in my car though and I almost remixed everything as it sounded so bass-heavy; but I had another listen and it works.

Welcome to my 2nd Proto-Techno album.

about

Benedict Roff-Marsh Brisbane, Australia

After around 25 years and around three times that many albums this is the music that I make. It is my style.
