about

"I am always happy to hear your new stuff, it is exceptionally produced and never fails to meet a high level of artistic beauty. Lovely, lovely work!!!" Kibeja

I had set out to write an album about the Space Shuttle but what came was the idea of video games. Maybe because I had written a track about the game Asteroids at the end of the Fallen Leaves album or simply because the Space Shuttle program reminded me of the early 80's (which I am always happy to have happen).

Either way the album grew around the concept of arcades, in one direction from "Galleria du Symbol" track and in another with the track "The Gathering".

The first 7 tracks are based on the idea of arcades as locations and pathways that take us from one place or state to another.

The final 6 tracks are related to the arcades concept but take a more specific meaning in the video games and parlors unique to the 1980's where a generation of youth pitted themselves against hordes of pixel-deep enemies.

After around 25 years and around three times that many albums this is the music that I make. It is my style.
