about

This album was written and released in late 1999. It has always remained a turning point and proud moment for me. Here I present it in its entirety including a rare (for me) dance mix and all the cover artwork (download bonus extras).

In many ways this is a tribute album. On the surface it perhaps looks like an Egyptian theme. I don't deny there is an element of that. In much the same way that people look back to the ancient cultures of Egypt and beyond I have looked back. But rather than studying little known people and their Gods I have studied my own gods: the musicians who have been inspirational in my composing and kept be believing (in more ways than one) during the hard times. None of these people are known to me personally so like gods of old I view them from afar and cast them in my own image.

After around 25 years and around that many albums this is the music that I make. It is my style.
